  • Week 4: Preventive Health Is the New Self-Care

🩺 What They Don’t Tell You When You Hit 30 ❤️‍🩹

Part 3: Stress Starts Leaving Its Mark

Let’s be real: your 30s are peak juggling years — career goals, relationships, maybe kids, maybe a mortgage. The stress that once rolled off your shoulders now tends to stick.

How Stress Shows Up

    • Breakouts or dull skin (thanks, cortisol).
    • Digestive drama — bloating, acid reflux, the works.
    • Hair changes (yes, stress really can speed up grays).

You can’t just “shake it off” like in your 20s. Chronic stress now has real health consequences — from blood pressure to burnout.

Carlsbad Stress Hacks

    • Surf therapy: Even a quick paddle out at Terramar resets your brain.
    • Reiki + breathwork: Local wellness studios are packed with calming practices to help you recharge.
    • Micro-escapes: Lunch break? Head to Batiquitos Lagoon for a 20-minute nature walk. Science shows green space lowers cortisol.

Bottom Line

Stress in your 30s isn’t a vibe — it’s a health signal. Tackling it early means fewer wrinkles, fewer sick days, and more energy for the fun stuff.
