Premium Japanese Comfort Food Arrives in Carlsbad Village
There’s a new reason for food lovers to explore Carlsbad Village.
Little Kiki Katsu & More brings a refined take on one of Japan’s most beloved comfort foods to Madison Street, transforming the humble breaded cutlet into a dining experience built around premium ingredients, Japanese craftsmanship, and meticulous preparation.
At the center of the menu is katsu: meat or seafood delicately coated in panko breadcrumbs and fried until light, crisp, and beautifully golden.
But Little Kiki takes things several steps further. The kitchen selects exceptional proteins and even dry-ages meats in-house to develop deeper flavor and texture.
For the classic experience, try the dry-aged Berkshire Kurobuta pork tonkatsu. Known for its marbling and richness, the pork is transformed into a tender, flavorful cutlet beneath that irresistible crispy coating.
There's also premium Jidori chicken katsu, along with seafood selections such as shrimp and scallop katsu.
Want to turn dinner into an experience? Go for the gyu-katsu. Ribeye — or even A5 Wagyu — is lightly breaded and fried before arriving with a hot stone at the table, allowing you to finish each slice exactly the way you like it.
